Admittedly, I haven't read the article quite yet, but immediately the obvious protest that comes to my mind is that evaluation of an entire race, especially the inherent traits of that race, based on any genetic evidence from currently living subjects is an inherently flawed evaluation method, espec...

Was it just me or did Nathan call Kaito, Hiro? Beyond that, I wonder if Monica's power extends beyond TV. Just judging from how she seemed to take it in, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't. Also... was there more to Micah's trying to "fix" her than I picked up on? There certainly seemed ...

Wil, you write that people should be content when they're out-voted in a democracy, but isn't this just a dictatorship of the majority? And as democracy spreads, does this not also mean that more and more people must be simply content with living by the rule of the majority? On a large-scale, this i...

I'm forgetting the exact political climate at the time of these e-mails, but if I recall correctly, the IF was fairly divorced from any earth-bound power at this time, it's only objective being to not interfere with the goings-on of earth as its all-encompassing intel and military might could be far...

It's... difficult for me to take, solidly, a side on this issue, because, strangely enough, I find the question of when life begins to be almost fundamentally unanswerable. Hiro's storyline I see as a necessary detour. The "symbol", that is the supposed kanji for "Godsend", also plays a significance as Kensei's symbol. As far as I noticed, however, Kensei himself bore the symbol nowhere on his person, and the only place we see it in Hiro's storyline...

I'll agree that the ending of the book, from about the point where we find out Harry's supposed to be a Horcrux onward was the kind of canon-futzing that would have comic fans up in arms, and was probably written as an attempt to reconcile her original ending, where I really wouldn't be suprised to ...
