I try really, really hard not to judge people for any reason and while I sometimes fail in rather spectacular fashions, I'm not proud of myself when it happens. But this morning, I just could not help myself. This woman took her still-crawling, walking-with-the-aid-of-furniture child out of his stro...

As I was tidying up this morning, I noticed one of my Ranger Rick magazines was disassembled by a young, enthusiastic reader and lying on the ground was this page; I just knew I had to put him up on my cork-board type thing at my desk downstairs. God, I can't get over how adorable he is.

Nah, no lecturing vibe from you (or Kelly). I think it's been a nice case of being informative and understanding without resorting to lecturing or condescension. If only more people approached food that way, ya know. It's just a knee-jerk reaction type fear, whenever I hear about food things, that I...

I don't know if I'm veering off course too much with this but in response to brain and Steph, I have a very hard time believing people on emotional matters; the same can sometimes be said of more factual matters but those are disputed easily enough and when I'm wrong about those, I tend to be decent...

I wish every American would watch it. This may be a dumb question but why? For the food re-education, to see how bad things are for certain communities that may be representative of a nation-wide trend? I don't eat particularly well but I also don't think I eat entirely awfully, either, and food is...

Because I know everyone is just dying to know what I've been keeping busy with in my artistic endeavors (read: painstaking, bordering on masochistic time-passer by-ers), I'm still working on this . (I knew it was from early this year but holy whoa-bagger, January?) I started and was quite enthusiast...

I'm pretty sure I disagree with Darwin's death being pointless and while it might be ironic, I also saw it as kind of fitting in the context of Civil Rights. I do agree with Emma Frost being kind of lame, though. Overall, there were parts that really moved me (the Nazi camp, training, at the beach a...

I guess I'll address this: the new fresh site that we've kind of been almost working on in here, with my thoughts on the matter, given it's less than a month from the original proposed move date. I'm unaware of Jan's, Wil's, or Will's thoughts on the matter but in the three months since I last even ...

Confession: I can't relate, not really, to engagement, wedding, being married/marriage, baby/kid conversations and although I'm very happy for my friends for experiencing these things and for being included in the conversation, it makes me feel...not left out, per se, not even unwelcome or uncomfort...

Miracle of all miracles, I finally got the knot out of my right shoelace after at least a month of it being too impossibly tight to untangle and me having to work around it. I am very good at untying knots, like seriously, I consider it a talent. The next time I'm being knotty, I'll call you. I lov...

I was reading this book and really enjoying it, commenting to myself on how much I could relate, how it was showing my life and what will be my life most likely, how realistic it was and how much more I loved it for that...and then it essentially turned into a Nicholas Sparks book at the end. I have...

It being nearly 9PM, it's entirely too late for me to have any grasp on the majority of the details of my dream last night and I was much too excited this morning to get to work (no, really), so I didn't retain the details that well even then. But, I do remember that Mich, zero, and Edward Norton we...

The only tv show I made it a point of watching on the tv, and not online, was canceled this year, after 5 seasons. It was time, I think, even though it still had decent ratings; the show was just getting too...convoluted and soap operatic for my tastes. With that said, it will be weird not having it...

I know this is a very old thread but for the past few weeks, I've been making a mental note in the 5 seconds between lying down and falling into a deep, deep slumber that I can no longer fall asleep on my stomach. I have to be on my back, but just to...

So, law-yer, have you read The Road ? If not, what the hell is wrong with you, and if so and assuming you liked it, remind me to get you the title of a book being published later this year that is supposed to be a read-alike but specifically targeted at teens. It deals with a flooded out Louisiana, ...
