I know many here will think my views extreme. Maybe I worked in schools too long. I grew up when parents signed those forms allowing teachers to smack their kids around. When you were sent to the principals office, you weren't talked to. You were paddled and you deserved it. It's a mistake that thos...

just require that all games rated M have to be purchased with a card. the older people without anything better to do should be satisfied and kids will have to get parents permission to get the game.

Personally, I cannot go too long without Jade Empire.

Debate Thread: Round Three: Native American Reservations

Native American Reservations abide by a separate set of laws than the US. They have their own law makers, judges, and law enforcement. The US has about 300 reservations . Nine of these reservations are larger than Delaware. Many of these reservations depend on US tax dollars to continue. The residen...

I don't claim to know what everything that god does means. We have limited understanding of the grand scheme of things. If god is omniscient, and cares for us, then I must believe that god will do what's best for us (you, everybody you know, the nation and the world). God doesn't just see us now. Go...

Debate Thread: Round Two: Mandatory Voting

How else can we get the true opinion of the US other than mandatory voting? So many people gripe and whine about who is in office, no matter who it is. The sheer number of these know-betters could sway any election. Opinion polls are based on random calling, and creative statistics. Opinion polls do...

I agree with anon-.

I was frustrated in my human biology class when the instructor declared that evolution was 100% fact and truth and no other options could be possible. When the curriculum is so absolute, the students won't consider other options. They will be programmed to be close-minded.

This is an open debate. Feel free to join. Prostitution, with regular check-ups (and condoms required), should be legalized in the US for the following reasons: * Provide significant alleviation to overcrowded prisons (both the prostitutors and the prostitutees). * More people out of prison and in l...

Try changing your perception of what is and what isn't. Evolution is a theory Intelligent Design is a theory. Theists and Atheists have different solutions for the same concerns.

To generalize the majority of the Earth with such a comment is nothing more than foolish arrogance.
