No, that doesn't work. I was assuming one-way communication the whole time. The problem is this: The state of the particle is 1, but we don't know that, so we test it and find out that it's state is 1, however, in the process, we change its state to 5, so we no longer know it's state. If the bit is ...

Dear You,
Now that I've puzzled through some of my thoughts I realized that I can't blame you. All I want to do is talk and explain myself. Maybe then you'll see what I was doing. Maybe then you'll open up. Maybe then I would be afraid.

Laughing out Loud mr_thebrain.

Of course Pluto is a planet, it's just not a Planet. It will always be a (dwarf) planet to me, but I also see that it isn't defined as one and I can accept that dichotomy.

It may just be me, but I seem to think of most American teens as extremely irresponsible. It may be the teen's personality that makes them irresponsible, but I think it is also, partially, the parent's lack of morals in upbringing them. Or, it could be a perception you have based on media experienc...

I don't know about genius. I'm probably wrong, but thank you anyway. Edit: I just realized why I am 100% completely wrong. How would you know when it changes: by measuring it and changing it again. To find a change you would have to measure once, then measure it later to see if it's different, but b...

Okay, the reason we can't use the state of an entangle particle as a 1 or zero is because when you measure the state, you read the state, but then it changes. However, if you used the change of the states to represent a bit (1 or 0) then you could trade information. The problem is that you would nee...

I think that's what he's saying. You can't measure the state of a particle w/o interfering with it. That grounding in reality kinda burst my bubble. However isn't it possible to do this another way?: say we have two sets of entangled particles (set A contains P(a,1) and P(a,2); set B contains P(b,1)...

I'm guessing here, but I think that during prohibition there was no drinking age, because the production, transport, marketing, etc. of alcohol was illegal.

BTW, what do you mean by "once you're a citizen, you're a citizen,"? You lost me there.

Yes, teleportation requires that information is transfered using standard equipment (e.g. copper wire). However, the big deal is the ability to entangle matter. This is what we're looking at, because that is the mechanism they use to transfer the quantam states to and from particles, which is instan...

No, ^--that--^ is the problem. yes, the forbidden fruit aspect is an important thing to consider.

the other thing is that it might not be all bad if more people got involved in prostitution, especially if it was safer, the good (safer, less spread of disese) would outwigh the bad.
