I never quite got the toe-sock thing. For gloves, you get the extra dexterity, which seems useful. My toes are not particularly independent anyway... are they warmer? It seems counter-intuitive. Like I said: I don't get it. Then again, my "big toe" is so freaking big that it probably would...

Yes, I agree... "lake effect" at it's best / worst.

One "advantage" here though is that it will go away within a few days... already only about 4" left, and then only in the "protected" areas.

it really does look amazing, and YES, they really need to start pushing their release more. I guess it was nice to see ONE update basically one year out... maybe they think 1 year is "too far ahead" ...

Glad to hear the book inspires you as much now as it did back then. Maybe now you understand more why your dad liked it so much that he felt he had to he share it with you. :) I think there are many lessons to learn from this book... one of which is surely "don't kick while they're down" ....

In most cases, you have to upload your image to another site (an image hosting site like picasa or flikr, for example) and then link to it from here with the proper tags.

edit: "most cases" because some forums actually do offer an image upload and storage option...
