Re: Brontosaurus Lays an Egg

Thanks guys. I left work after two hours yesterday, which I feel a little guilty about, but I was totally blindsided by nausea and pain (yesterday was my first run-in with morning sickness, and I was NOT prepared). Driving on the highway while dry-heaving is not my idea of a good time. I went home, ...

Hi. I'm Confessions. I'm pregnant. PLEASE HELP ME. I feel like such absolute s***. I feel like the worst hangover ever in existence, multiplied by a million. I am nauseous and exhausted and I hate food and my head hurts so much that I might actually be crying right now. I have no idea how I'm going ...

Is it over-rising on the counter? If you know the yeast is good, I'd try cutting the rise time down some. Sometimes I forget about my dough and it rises too much. It usually deflates a bit in the oven when that happens.

Thank you, guys. Everyone I know who was in Boston (working, watching the marathon, running the marathon) is safe. I am so heart-broken for those who can't say the same. Last night I couldn't sleep, so I discovered there was a boomshine app for iphone, which I played for hours, and which helped keep...

I agree, it sounds like the money would be welcome and helpful, but is not 100% NEEDED. As in, you can manage food, shelter, clothing, etc in your current situation (this is just my assumption). If you weren't able to meet those basic needs, then money becomes the front runner. "I need this mon...

This one's for Kim (and other Cat People) We would like to revamp Durp's diet. (Yes, our cat's name is Durp. No, I was not a party in this decision). She's generally on the dainty side, for a cat, and often looks bigger than she is, due to copious amounts of fur. In the 5 years I've known her, she's...

Steph, I love that you have an individual lullaby for each kid! It's something I decided I'd do myself, way back in highschool. My chorus teacher had two children during my four years there, and each time he taught the chorus a lullabye specific for each kid. We sang it for the babies when they came...

So, in the lead up to the wedding and the many months after, I basically dropped my workout routine and all my good habits. Packed on a few pounds, though didn't regain everything I'd lost, or even close. Still, the gain is upsetting and I'm back at it. Took a hip hop class at the gym on Thursday. A...

Sigh. I liked Thorin (and thought the actor did a good job), don't get me wrong. But...huh? Plus, all Bilbo's speechifying toward the end about how he was ready to throw his lot in with them now because he wanted them to have a home since he missed his own so much was sort of...bewildering? Since we...

Dear Body,

I'm sorry I quit working out and let a bit of the weight creep back on. I got the message on the scale this morning. Honest. I'm back on board.

Also, sorry for the bruise on the right shoulder. The AR-15 had less recoil than I was expecting, but it was enough.
