And just what are your credentials regarding theological analysis and religious demographical research? You make a widly egregious claim that "plenty" of Christians believe the whole scripture, yet the "whole" scripture contains self-contradictory statements - thus believing the...

Dear you, Sometimes I look fondly upon the memories and think that it never could have worked anyway. Much more often, I gaze towards the dream catcher you created with such care for me, and wonder where all that care went. They say that matter is never created nor destroyed. Is that true for love? ...

I think that either the rapture will happen in my lifetime (next 80 years or so), or it will not happen for many thousands of years. Personally I'd like to see what happens to technology over the next thousand years, so I really hope it doesn't happen, for purely selfish reasons. :)

It is typical Christianity, picking and choosing what to think. It is the ultimate Duct-Tape philosophy. That's not typical Christianity. You're a hypocrite. You say that all Christians pick and choose what they want to believe, yet you are saying this based on your decision of picking and choosing...

Physical Description?

I can't find very much physical description of anyone at all in Card's books. He says on his website that he doesn't think visually, and that he wishes he did. He says that he thinks more of a low-detail map in his head. That explains why his description of the Battle Room and Battleschool in genera...

I got Empire for Christmas, and it was an enjoyable read. Is it Card's best word? No, but it is a good book and shows a future that could very well happen. And that's scary. You have got to be kidding me. You posted on THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS!!!! How can you read that fast? :( I'm so jealous. :(

You are failing to see any of his points, and therefore proving yourselves fools. It is just like the majority of the people I talk to. You are "against" the War on Terror, and you hate George Bush, but you haven't got a clue why and the only "evidence" you have is B.S. The initi...

By the way, I'm not sure how many of you already knew about this, but there is the WayBack Machine at www.archive.org. It's got something of a backup, though many of the images are broken.

That's a shame. No back-ups I take it.

How many forum visitors before that?

Also, who would I contact if I can offer some of my services to aid the Philotic Web's re-entry?

I can help with content, perhaps, and I might also offer my services as a graphic designer and a Flash animator/designer.

Good to know :) So what happened to all the content that OSC described the Philotic Web to have? I know the front page says it will come back soon, but it is my experience that much of the time that statement is false and sites rarely come back once they're gone. Bring me up to speed, maybe? Thanks

I can't tell for sure what you mean by this, but by the fact that you've got almost 500 posts here I'm guessing you are being sarcastic and derisive to those who think the way your last post implied?

How is it Humanly Possible?!?!?!

In the back of Shadow Puppets, an extremely popular book, Orson Scott Card himself mentions this website. IN HIS BOOK! Published! So how in the world is it possible that this website has a modest 250 visitors when Card himself frequents (or at least used to frequent) it? How? Did it undergo some maj...

The Homecoming series is a very, very good series. The second and third of which are the best. It's difficult to compare these with Ender's Game, since even though they are bough sci-fi, Homecoming has a whole lot of Fantasy Elements, I think. But one thing I can say with certainty is that Orson Sco...
