You know what I don't understand? People who like Snape, or Lucius, or Draco. I'm sorry, I just don't. Sometimes, I do like the bad-boy thing. I like the Sirius bad-boy thing. But I don't understand what's attractive about prejudicial Nazi-type assholes--especially ones with greasy hair.

Me, neither. I'm not reading the pdf or the spoilers, but I've been known to skip two hundred pages in a book so that I know what happens and can either adjust to the disapointment or comfort myself knowing that it works out well in the end. (I won't do that for Harry Potter, but I did do that for K...

I still don't see it, and Harry being miserable at the beginning of HBP would be missing the theme of HBP--which is that Harry comes out of being angry and miserable and accepts that he can be hurt without withdrawing. He misses Sirius; he doesn't withdraw from people because of it, and I think that...

Well unless I'm mixing up book 5 and 6 (it HAS been 2 years since I read them), wasn't there a part at the end of book 5 where it's explained to Harry that no one can come back from the gate once they disappear, and then he gets even more sad? I guess they didn't want to end the movie on a sad note...

i wonder that everyone is upset about the lack of closure concerning Sirius' death... Harry never gets any closure for Sirius death in the books, either. no funeral. no body. no time to adjust or say a proper goodbye. Harry doesn't even get to grieve properly in the books. Dumbledore's death is a s...

Neo, I really wish that more men were like you--and I would agree with your assessment of the situation, in that it's absolutely about showing off. Unfortunately, it does happen pretty often--it happens to me at least a couple times a day, usually. And, especially if the guy's on foot, too, if I sta...

^What she said.

It is easy to tell when someone is unable to write properly and when someone just cannot be bothered. You are obviously an example of the latter in your posts on pweb, because capitalization aside, your grammar and vocabulary is generally impeccable.

Craig, from my own torrid experience, I can tell you this: four good days means nothing. It's nice while it lasts, but long term, a couple days where all goes well doesn't mean "cured" in any sense of the word. It means that the problems will just pop back up soon, and you're lulled into a...
