Re: Dear Diary/Journal/Bob 3.0
Dear Bob, My friend Katie and her husband are moving to California. They are driving cross-country to get there. Last night they stopped in Aurora, Colorado to see a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. Katie instagrammed a photo of her ticket. They were in the theatre where the shooting took ...

David and I accidentally booked an appointment to view a house. And he's accidentally going to the bank today to talk about a mortgage. And we accidentally have an offer ready to go.
I've never accidentally bought a house before, Bob. This should be interesting.

Aside from the fact that I couldn't walk properly at all due to a highly aggressive personal trainer, and complained about the fact that I couldn't walk properly altogether too often (as well as babbling about pretty much everything) I had a lovely time and wish I could have hung out longer. I've go...

Today I am thankful for Pweb. After posting in the Things I Hate thread, I sat down on the couch to have a good cry. Then the mailman showed up and handed me a package. From you guys. I am so touched by your generosity, and that you've kept me in your thoughts and hearts for all these years. I'm sti...

Re: Things that I hate
I hate living so damn far away from where I grew up. We've had two declines come back for our wedding in the last few days that rip my guts out in particular. None of the other declines have hit me quite this hard. And I can't be angry, because people need to do what is best for them, of course, and...

I'm good for giving rides, too, if needed. I've never been to the Mill City farmers market (we go to the one in downtown St. Paul). So I can't for sure tell you what breakfast options will be like. Our FM has coffee, donuts, and egg/bagel sandwiches. Some quick research tells me that Chef Shack will...

Exactly what Brian said: no one wants to guess wrong! I would never want to comment on an assumption like that, knowing that if I were wrong it could cause annoyance at the least, and pain at the worst.
But so glad it's out in the open so we can all love you up properly!

The first time I brought David home to meet my family we'd been dating for about 7 or 8 months and he was the first guy I ever brought home to meet my family. Bought my first pair of real running shoes! I have to say, they make a HUGE difference. I was wearing clunky old cross trainers before. Not great. I didn't have time to go to the Hip Hop class last night (though I peeked in and it looked fun!), so I ran on the treadmill with Zombies, Run! Although I...

Bit the bullet and joined a gym (LA Fitness, to be exact). The gym is shiny and large and expensive and AIR CONDITIONED. With a classroom, free weights, weight machines, and a ton of cardio machines, plus a pool, and racquetball and basketball courts. Whoa. I have a complimentary assessment with a p...

Can we talk about stuff? Because I totally want to talk about stuff. I am in that part of the process where my wedding is now its own thing. It's alive. It's lumbering along. It is separate from me, and while others might find that relinquishing of control (and, perhaps, responsibility) nerve-wracki...

The heat is killing my workout routines. We do not have air conditioning (aside from an ancient window unit in the bedroom that doesn't work properly, and there's no room for me to exercise in there even if it did). Lifting weights and doing push ups and just otherwise exerting myself in the heat of...

Fred is totally right; you can let the dough rise overnight in the fridge.
You have to make sure you bring it back up to room temperature, though, before baking. Deb talks about doing this in comment #173 on that post! (Her cinnamon rolls are the BEST).

I'm actually not losing weight for the wedding! I mean, obviously it's a nice side effect, but when I started in March I knew there was no way I was going to lose 60 pounds by September 1st, and my reasons for getting fit were more about my mental and emotional health than my appearance (although ag...
