For those of you who have never heard of MST3K, here is a link to one of their funniest shorts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hh4M4vipAo Mst3k is just an old show which makes fun of really crappy old movies like "The Screaming Skull" and "Prince of Space" and stuff like that. T...

Hence the existence of "Hell." I would call that an outward manefestation of wrath, but it is not a sin because it is perfectly just.

I do or I wouldn't be on this forum. The reason why I said that God is in the third dimension is because time has no meaning in the third dimension. However, you make a point. Because we exist in a state of time, God simply transcends time, which, I suppose, would put him in a higher dimension. Jota...

No, I don't think you're getting what I meant. Aslan accepts Emet because - through absolutely no fault of his own - Emet did not know Aslan, but still sought him. He was given Tash by his culture and family, but in his heart he was seeking for the truth, for Aslan. Lewis was making the point that ...

The "Lion", Aslan, accepted Emet because he was striving toward good, toward a relationship with the Divine, even though he didn't know about Aslan. It wasn't Emet's fault the god his family and society followed wasn't Aslan. But thats exactly what I'm talking about. He was worshipping SO...

That's sort of what I was trying to say earlier, that God exists in the third dimension (i.e. outside of time) while we exist in the fourth.

Also, in the Big Bang, where did all that energy/matter come from? was it created? or was it eternal?

All boils down to a very basic and simple view: If you had 50 bucks, would you rather decide how to spend it? or let someone else decide? In government run healthcare, The government decides how our tax dollars are spent. One of the basic rules of economics: The Government HAS NO MONEY. Who are they...

The other thing I love is when fundamentalists talk about "eternity" as if they know what it means, and yet cannot comprehend the development of stars over billions of years, or the evolution of human life over 4-1/2 billion years. They look at the 200 years or so since Darwin, and expect...

I know. I don't judge who God saves, He does. God might easily save C S Lewis for his own purposes. I simply do not think that Lewis is currently in a salvific frame of mind. Also, if you have read the Narnia series, you may have realized the allegorical parallels for the characters (C S Lewis himse...

I agree that God doesn't flaunt His perfection. He just knows it is, and acts like it, but he is not overly humble because he doesn't deserve to be. I also agree that God has emotion. The Bible is very clear when God is "wrathful" or "pleased." However, this is not to say he ever...

I think you need to read article 1260 again. While God has given us baptism as a gateway to the path of salvation, God is not limited to saving people via that gateway. Baptism does not ensure salvation, either, although it does plant the seed of grace, which may grow if nurtured. If the seed is no...

Yes, religion has huge sway over politics, but it can hardly be called fundamentalism .
