My college roommate used to pan-fry those in butter and add honey at the end.

Evil.

Re: Confessions of a 20-something mother

I'm all for anyone giving their lives to whatever (healthy) thing they like. But I understand how you feel. I just tell myself that at that age, it's the same rationalization as saying they've given their lives to Justin Bieber. I'm sure the sentiment is heartfelt, because kids really aren't capable...

I am so sorry. I wish I lived nearby so I could help.

Can you hire a last-minute crew to help you pack? Even if it's just for a few hours, it could really help.

Aw, that makes me sad. As a Gator who went to UF from 2004-2008, I was required to sign a notarized statement declaring my undying fealty to Timmy before they would let me have my diploma. But I can understand that people are getting tired of him always being brought up in the sports news.

The destruction of books, beyond the natural decomposition of my reading them too much and the pages falling out of the spine, seems really wrong.

Bad, bad dreams this week. Seriously messed up psychology s***. There's only so many times you can watch your own mother murder you and everyone you love before staying awake sounds like a better idea.

And those weren't even the worst dreams.

So tired.

Does anyone watch Up All Night? It's about a young couple with a new baby, very funny. I don't have kids but I feel like that's how my life will be when I do.

Cheez-Its give me heartburn, but only when I'm hungover. Which is, of course, when I want them most.

The first time I got heartburn made me so sad, because I was about 21 and I thought it meant I was getting old. Silly me.

It's a generational thing, trust me. I have a lot of family like that, who just are used to the way things used to be said and never got around to changing their vocabulary. Or their outlook, for that matter. But it's more of a... passive racism. They probably don't really even notice, half the time...

I love shopping for Christmas trees, but since I moved to DC I can't fit one in my house. And my mother always gets the tree early in December, so I don't get to be part of it at home, either.

Makes me very sad. Maybe I'll get a pine-scented candle like y'all have to make it smell more Christmassy!

Given the role he is going to be playing someone needs to introduce him to Starcraft.
