I read "Megatokyo", and I will be the first one to tell you that it is terrible . It wasn't so bad back when Caston was involved; and I really like his influence in it, but after that point... It is just such a manifestation of the word "weeaboo" with all of its negative connotat...

I don't know if you've played it No, I've never played any Metroid games after Super before; I'm just slowly working my way through the Primes now. (With intermissions of a few runs of Super :) Doesn't 3 have at least a somewhat different control scheme, though? I mean, it's all wiimotified and stu...

Noted. Any other tips from the gallery? I don't really think of what you said as being "bad" at smalltalk. Just do what you want and that makes you comfortable, with a certain amount of accommodation for the perceived preferences of others. If you like silence, don't say a lot. If others ...

The roomate problem isn't really a problem for me, since I don't usually drink anything besides water (and milk on cereal/oatmeal). So I don't really ingest pulp regularly, but when I do drink orange juice, pulp is always the preference.

I finished Metroid Prime a little bit ago. I forgot to mention earlier that one of my favorite little things added to the game is the face reflection you see when lighting effects occur behind/next to you. The first time I saw that I was just... wow. It's a really sudden (and infrequent) reminder to...

I used to have an electric stove and have gas now... I don't really see what the big difference is. Just that it heats up faster? Never lived without a dishwasher, and yet the sink still sometimes manages to start to pile up with dishes. I don't even want to think what would happen if I didn't have ...

bronie This is like people saying "Pinky Pie". aaargh. How frequently are the /b/ threads going by? I remember when a /co/ thread hit 1600, which seemed pretty crazy at least at the time. But now that there's numerous different pony boards with reasonable popularity, that may have allevia...

I really liked this PA of Human Revolution: http://penny-arcade.com/comic/2011/09/02 I haven't been following too much about the game, but I just love the nerdy-looking Jensen :) Back to fighting games. Just be aware, season 2 is starting in only about 12 1/2 days! At that point, I expect a lot of discussion here will be about that (and I assume it'll be easier to catch them in order when they're going through their initial run).

I have to ask, did you do this on purpose? To set someone up for the classic Airplane/Leslie Nielson joke? Or was it a typo and you've never even heard of Airplane? Oh, yes, I do that nearly every time I use that sentence... structure (sentence formation? grammatical construct? "thing"?)....

I just finished episode 5, and I really don't know who's turning out to be my favorite. Don't judge too hastily! I know many people's opinions of Rarity drastically improved after Art of the Dress, and the penultimate season 1 episode I find is amazing and is very Pinkie-centric. Dash is over-rated...

Box! Box box box box box. Not even because of anything MGS, but it's just so fun to say! Almost as much as smock. One of the reasons I like playing as Game & Watch in brawl is so I can shout "box!" whenever I use the forward-A aerial.

Example, we had a coworker who is Russian, and though he's lived in the US for most of his life still missed out on important cultural things. He didn't know what the word "rogue" meant, and we all jumped to Han Solo as the definitive lovable rogue. Of course, having never seen Star Wars,...

Boo bees. Yes, that link is actually SFW.

(For those that may not get it, those creatures are called "boo"s in Mario games. But they normally look like this.)

Shirley you can get those to play on more modern machines. I'm not sure if some kind of compatibility mode or emulator would work, but if all else fails I think you could get a virtual machine running Windows 98 running well enough (which is what I used to do for a couple of games).

Maybe that's why FiM is so popular. I know I'm not the only brony that finds actual horses to be ugly as sin.

I just feel compelled to mention, since this made me think of it... in one of the fan-made "abridged" series for MLP FiM, one of the episodes partially revolves around a hair brush as a plot element.

Absolutely no experience here, but... Windows or OS X? I've heard of some people having trouble with Deus Ex cutscenes and DX11; disabling it apparently helps, though don't ask me how you even do that.
