Ironically, hardly at all. Well, yesterday's. In the past it has bruised about the same amount as it always has before.

Still feeling pretty off. Side effects from new med, hangover from the awful weekend, or just one of those days? I decided yesterday that if my fingers were too puffy to wear my wedding ring, that probably made them just the right size to wear my grandma's emerald ring! http://img.photobucket.com/al...

Alea, I already told you, but you aren't included in the world that I hate. Just FYI. :) I went in for the extra blood pressure monitoring the doctor told me to, and it had spiked some, so they admitted me. I spent the day peeing into a jug, being bored and lonely because Rei had to work, and had a ...

The edema is really bothering me. I'm glad I'm going to see my GP tomorrow, since maybe he can recommend something to help deal with it. My fingers feel like sausages and my feet and ankles are just as bad. I'm also going to have fun telling him that I am refusing the alternative anti-depressant I w...

Good to know! I will pack assorted non-perishable items, and possibly a frozen dinner which will thaw during labour and be edible cold (like fried rice, mmmm). I imagine the ravenosity is akin to my post-swimathon eat-everything-in-sight state. Kirsten! Baby! Isn't it big and baby-looking?! YAY!!!

Still edemic. Had to prise off my wedding ring. :( :( :( But with my fingers getting so puffy, I just didn't want to risk something happening and it needing to be cut off. You can still see the indent in my ring finger where it normally sits. My fingers are puffed up enough that the ring now sits co...

Momma Brontosaurus has been super-duper stressed about a whole bunch of things, and is sorry for not posting more. It's been a bit hard to talk. I've been a bit frustrated with having trouble contacting the supervisor of midwives. I'm trying again today (they are supposed to be 24-hours available, b...

Momma Brontosaurus is grumpy today. Not enough sleep may contribute to that, as well as the med shift, but either way, I'm a grump. Warning: profanity. Went to my midwife appointment today. First problem, my regular midwife is on vacation. They may have told me that but I forgot to write it down, or...

Acid reflux. Ugh. At least I think it's some sort of acid reflux, since it's sort of burny and tastes like whatever I ate most recently. That's reflux, right? Anyway, I has it. Hooray for good parents! I agree with all those things Kirsten said, and I want to add a healthy, happy relationship with f...

Since you'll asked... I have been very happily trundling along on 10mg of paroxetine per day. Very few side effects, just a low maintenance dose. I'm tapering off that 2.5mg every two weeks, and at the same time starting on 50mg of amitriptyline for 1-2 weeks (depending on side effects), then up to ...

Heehee, its head is also above the curve, but not a whole lot (only 5 days ahead, as opposed to 9 for its abdominal circumference). I'm not really worried about either, though. There's still so much growing to do, and who knows what will happen! :)

I think I mentioned it before, but I'll be having a total of five. I had one (non-standard) at about 6 or 7 weeks, because of bleeding concerns. I had a standard one at 13 weeks, which should have been at 8-10 weeks, but got bumped for PhD reasons. I guess that early scan is a newer thing. I had the...

I really don't feel much, but my situation is totally different to yours. I'm basically only taking it for the baby, who is developing a brain and needs the nutrition. I'll probably keep taking it throughout breastfeeding, but I may go down to a lower dose - we'll see what the midwife says. If you'r...

*laughter* Advice from my mom: * If you go into early labour at a bad time (like, in an airplane), a glass of champagne is the best cure. Barring that, a shot of rum or whiskey. * Beer is good for breastfeeding! Keep in mind that this is a woman who doesn't like wine or spirits, except for one speci...

I miss wine (and cider, and beer, and gin) so much! It really doesn't help that it's everywhere here, and often free.
