people always just refer to me as brain or josh on here. Josh is right out; Doc is Josh, Zevlag-Josh is Zevlag, you are brain. I guess I could call you Mister but that's a pretty generic male nickname, so how about Underscore? :P I don't have any Pwebber-given nicknames besides dope and gator, but ...

no explanation on these ancient nicknames! Someone can correct me on the parts I mess up, because I will here, but some -quite a few of them- of the nicknames you see (Chico - Josh, Fabio - Rei, err...others - others) came from Pweb chat's heyday. People were jokingly given certain roles; chat kill...

I feel the exact same way. It doesn't help that all the girl friends that I've had, have been prettier or more eye-catching than me. So, whenever we would go out anywhere, guys look at them and never, ever at me. It's not great for the ego. That was jr high, high school, and part of college for me....

Yeah, she's one in a million. (Or something like five million, I think the ophthalmologist said.) Awwww!!! That is so romantic!! Given the current population? That's only moderately romantic in the States and considerably less so in, say, India. The opthamologist gave her better than Syphon did. Ts...

I had what were probably the least painful cramps I've had in ages today and I'm pretty sure I saw some period related discharge, though not my actual period, so I should be bleeding soon. This is good news in that it explains a bit the epic low I felt yesterday at what should have been shake-off ty...

I love opals Same. If I ever get married, I'll be disappointed if I get a ring with anything other than an opal as the main piece. Even if I don't get married, I'll be disappointed if I don't get myself a ring with an opal. I had one I wore all the time but my fingers lost too much weight and it wa...

Kind of warm outside. Anyway, I was playing in the yard and remembered about my dad's leaves looking different than mine in the images, so I took more pictures. The first two pictures here show older leaves right next to new growth. I think, lighting aside, the older leaves look the same as my dad's...

Chaos Walking, by Patrick Ness. Not sure on the technical term but the style of the prose (dialect?) might drive you crazy at first but if you can get past that, it is one of the best trilogies I've ever read, hands down. I can't remember if they say if it's a post-apocalyptic or extinction event bu...

Thanks. *hugs Steph* She's not blind, she just thinks cruelty and honesty are the same and feels like it's necessary to tell me more than once when I heard her the first one hundred times. Honestly, what does she expect me to do? I can't change my face (barring surgery). Bah. Ruined my whole day. I ...

To say reaching the kids at my branch (for reading related purposes) is a challenge is sugar-coating it. The parents who even bother to show up with their kids largely herd them over to the DVDs, grab the max, and then leave. The kids who are there alone (most of them, neighborhood kids typically th...
