Re: got problems? (the non bob advice thread)

Co-nannying seems much more manageable to me. If that's an option. And yay for shifts at the library!

Ah. The effect of formal education. This makes sense. Keep sneaking in your AZ flair--soon they will realize the error of their ways.

Jocelyn is one month old already.
You have got to be kidding me. I'd have said two weeks, tops.

Also, little Nom is so freaking adorable.
Definitely all of this. No way has it been a month. *hugs for steph*

Re: Things that I hate

That is an intense story time.

Has the library had some angry parents in the past, demanding that their children receive all of those things in every story time? That's the only I can think of why they would be such sticklers. Do they pay for this at all?

Re: We don't need no Education (thread)

In regards to homework, I think it is essential in high school. And in middle school or junior high you at least need to have homework in math and English. Math and writing need to be practiced. I am a pretty fast learner and have always been a good student, but I could never have learned all of the...

Question about that. Do you use media mail to ship your books? Because it free up a pretty bit of space in my car when I go back to Alaska this summer if I could mail my books and DVDs for cheap....

Joss Whedon. WHY DOES HE MAKE ME FEEL THINGS?????? I know it is all just going to end terribly.

(For the record, I am a bit more than halfway through Buffy season 2--i.e. the terrible "to be continued" at the end of "Surprise." I hate this show).

Hm. I didn't know the Pope could resign. Does he get to join in selecting the next Pope? Is he kicked out of the Vatican?

Edit: reading one article answered all those questions. Just ignore me.

Confession: I am apartment hunting (way prematurely) and I have realized that I care much more about having a bigger kitchen than a bigger living room. I don't care if I'm a little cramped when I'm snuggling up with a movie. But cooking? I need counters!

Would it be more original if it was because Christian Bale plays both Batman and Teddy (in Little Women) and I went through a major fan-girling phase?

That isn't actually the case. Teddy is just what my boyfriend named him.

I was reading an article on CNN about the murders in Albuquerque and had a question. Why is killing a child charged as child abuse resulting in death? Is that a New Mexico thing? Does it carry a heavier weight than simple murder? It seems like an odd phrase to me.

I highly recommend one of those creepy robber ski masks.

Scarves work too, but they shift a lot and are kind of pain for actual face covering.

Or wear a burqa. I imagine those prevent face frost bite rather well.

I used to love it without question, but it seems to make things too choppy in this particular ca...
