Did you guys read the comments on Youtube? Okay, well, one of the "statistics" said that about half of America plays video games and one of the best replies to this is: "If HALF of America plays video games, how come the other half aren't dead already? You know because everyone who p...

They just want a scapegoat, and video games are the flavor of the month.
Indeed, forbid that people actually take responsibility for their actions.

There's a source in the topic, but you can never have just one! The websites below have their sources cited or are their own source. http://kspark.kaist.ac.kr/Jesus/Intelligence%20&%20religion.htm http://www.useless-knowledge.com/1234/feb/article156.html http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-thinkingc...

This topic is pretty dead lol but I recently read the Wess'har Wars by Karen Traviss. I loved them. As well as the Uplift Trilogy by David Brin... the first Uplift trilogy, Sundiver, Startide Rising and Uplift War.

Yes, "Let there be Light". Of course it wasn't in English when it was first written though ;)

And I didn't mean it in the way that they are stupid... just that they should read and understand the Bible before they start preaching about heaven and hell. Or anything else.

There are many many studies that link higher a than average I.Q. to a lack of religious beliefs. The studies are accurate. I also believe most "religious" people in America and Europe do not have a damn clue about their own religion and probably couldn't answer simple questions about it. I...

Most of my friends are Christians. I am an Atheist. As for how that effects my normal life; not by much. I do not openly spread around that I do not believe in God, or Gods. If I am asked I openly say I am an Atheist. Most people who I have told who are heavily religious always try to "teach me...

Yeah the "doctors" of the middle ages... who thought making puncture wounds bled out disease and cured the sick. Which killed more than it ever helped. Conceived means, "to become pregnant". And by saying we can prove she became pregnant I meant we can prove, conception. That she...

If you're going to buy the idea that he was crucified, why not buy that the Romans would want to be pretty darn certain that he was actually dead before letting him down? I think that it's a pretty safe bet that they did indeed stab him with a spear if it looked like he died so quickly. And if some...

<i>Nope. I enjoy reading stories of Saints, some of them as scientifically documented as was possible at the time, others having degenerated to the realm of folk-tale, and they included quite a few resurrections, with nobody mentioning stake-burning.</i> What exactly are the dates of the resurrectio...

I have never understood any religious beliefs. I could guess 2,000 years ago, you could see a man covered in blood and seemingly dead enough to toss him in a shallow grave. If he had been burned and came back to life maybe I would see it as being more "miraculous". Funny though, if a perso...

I have to agree with Young Val. It seems clear that Peter is only the monster we see him as in Ender's Game because that is how 5 year old Ender saw him. And because of that I don't think he would kill Stilson. In fact I don't think he has what it takes to kill the way Ender had. The last few chapte...
