I just remembered another reason why I didn't like Ender... in EiE, at one point he complained about not having someone smart to talk to. He may not have said that, but I took it that way and became offended by that.

Another point for Bean.

I think the Fantasy Game should be videogame-ized. Now if only we knew how to get the game to analyse the player and give report then it would be perfect.

Hard choice between Ender and Peter. Ender lost. It's mostly because I lost interest in him during Speaker. Half of my vote for Peter is also for Peter II, back when he was a sarcastic bastard. I know, I know. Technically, Peter II IS Ender.... but he's fresher, without the load of self-loathing. Hi...

I spotted an error (?) in the Companion. It says that Nikolai and Bean were both promoted to Rabbit, and Nik became commander. That's not possible because you can't lead an army you've been in before. Nik must have been pushed somewhere else so he can lead Rabbit.

Screenwriters are always going to have this problem: old crew vs. new audience. You either stick to the original religiously to gain approval from people who already love it, or you create it into something everyone can relate to. Based on sellability, there is no reason to assume they will ever ser...

That's one of the problems with releasing a big story in little parts. You think of something that you can add in, and then regret not being able to because in the previous part, it didn't exist.

But I haven't read EiE yet, so I wouldn't know.
