the kings speech failed to hold my attention.
Really? I was enthralled by the power play between Albert and Lionel. To have the nerve to tell royalty we are equals...god, I got such a kick out of it throughout the whole movie.

having been to chicago several times, i gotta say i don't see the appeal. *sigh* No one ever does. I hate bringing it up now, with most anyone, because of this. then i'm more of a live a bit away from the big cities but close enough to visit them sorta people. I live 3 hours from Phoenix and San Di...

None at all, unless the numbing injections counted...but that's gone now, finally. I'm just a control freak and the more I start slipping back into a stressed out place, the more I try to control stuff and that is all about the details. I just happen to have some happiness-inducing details surroundi...

I got in four movies this weekend: The Kids Are Alright, You Again, The King's Speech, and an indie called Good Dick. I won't say much about the first three. The Kids Are Alright was funny, authentic and perhaps naively hopeful in some ways but that's not such a bad thing, is it? You Again...was a c...

Sent the following to my dad just a minute ago: "Thanks, Dad, that looks like a great position. However, I will pass on applying for it. It's my hope that the next time I apply for a position, later this year, it will be outside of [city]. In the Chicago area, to be more exact. :) Love you.&quo...

My dad works for DES, so he sees a lot of job postings at work. A lot. Ever since my probation ended, he has been asking me a lot of questions about my plans. To him, the library was just something to do in the meantime. He's not entirely wrong about that but for me, it is something to do in AZ, in ...

Dear You, I'm sorry but I'm having a really hard time not resenting you at the moment. I have tried, numerous times and in numerous ways over the years, to be, if not a friend, then at least friendly to you, and all you've done is, if it was even for me, shown me pity and then ignored the fact that ...

While you guys fight the fight against pink and for men in skirts, I'll be taking up the mantle for non-traditional adult female roles, as pertaining to romantic relationships and child-bearing. For the love of all that is holy, why do people have to first of all ask about my children/husband, as if...

In my cousins first scan the baby looked like a chicken more than a baby.
This made me laugh way too hard.

Page 3? Not kosher. Today I am thankful for my mom. I mean, I almost always am (unless I'm being a s***) but she is the only person I know who is consistently/continuously interested in my "art" projects. I will never make money off this stuff; in fact, it's a money-vacuum. I will never be...

Re: Moving...?

Is it bad that I'm hoping my husband doesn't get a job in the south? Based off this: I really don't fit in and its really hard to like living in a place where i can't make friends because i just don't fit in. I'd say no. It really is its own culture there and sometimes people are incompatible with ...

I'm almost positive that came out when I was living in Tucson, so I want to say November or December of 2004. At least, I have possible memories of talking to Goat with the TV on for background noise.

At any rate, my family hardly ever calls Phoenix by anything other than "Puh-ho-nix" now.

Less selfishly, I hope your shoulder heals up nicely and I hope jobs are found wherever it will best suit you and the Mr.

Yes. The answer to this question is always "yes." It would be. If you mean this as a joke, it's not funny. You are NOT a mod. You have admin powers, that's not the same thing. Comprehend this, please.

and some for adults that didn't get a chance on them...
They were before my time and I only have one because Adam got one off Nomi, I think, and gifted it to me. I have no idea where I put it. I might check my dresser later, which, seriously, is the last place I would expect it to be.
