Re: New and Exciting Things about this New and Exciting Boar

Hmm, so, I've seen my name in the "techie" section in several posts now... I suppose it's not too presumptuous if I created a Tech account, correct?

Does it have to be TechZeroguy or whatever, though? That capital Z is just... so unrainbow not me.

Re: Mod Nominations

Crap, how am I supposed to choose one of them? This is kinda why I would have supported an approval voting process, had I been around when this was being discussed. Normally in situations like this I advocate for a Condorcet method of voting, but here I really think anything like that or even insta...

Then, after they pull out they go 20mph or less so they never approach cars ahead of them on the road. If anything, there is lots of traffic backed up behind them. You are either way ahead of them, stuck behind them, or stopping at an intersection to let them go by. This is what was going through m...

Re: Look what I got!: The Awesome Deal Thread

When I moved last month, I got a bed (and frame and box spring), a desk, and a thing with shelves for free (I knew a guy moving away). I wouldn't normally count that in a thread like this, but I don't buy things very often, so I wanted to get something in. I thought about starting this exact thread ...

Community started again, hooray! It seems just as fun and dumb as it's always been so far. Holy crap I watched all of Archer over the past week. So hilarious. It's like if you took Frisky Dingo , Arrested Development , and James Bond, stuck them in a blender, and put it on "sassy". Oh man...

I've never heard "ish" used that way either, in the past few years I've lived in the midwest. Not even from the MN and WI people I know; I guess just not the right area in those states. (But I've heard of "bubbler"! Haha, I love that one; it just sounds so silly!) I'm from the ea...

Re: Which forum theme/style are you using?

I use whatever the default is, which is pretty much what I use everywhere. I prefer to customize what a site looks like using browser-side options, so this is what pweb actually looks like to me (which is pretty much the same as it's looked for me for probably since before 3.0). (And yeah, I'm bumpi...

I was talking to zero awhile back and thought of My Little Brony, which is neither original or difficult to think up but he seems happy enough with binary, so... I didn't mention this when you brought it up before, but I'd actually prefer to not be consulted if someone wants to change my title. Jus...

Maybe it's something to do with our :evencooler: geeky nature. When you say "full database," do you mean you dumped all the phpbb_ tables? Or did you dump all the phpbb3_ tables, as well? All tables; not that there's a whole lot in the phpbb3_ ones, iirc. I took a quick look at it and I'm having trouble believing that that file is the entire database...

[Technical post] I also got a full database dump. It's actually much easier to just run the mysqldump command via php, and it runs in like a second (compared to... however long the phpmyadmin export would have taken). I think it's complete, but haven't tried to verify or anything. If any of the othe...

I also do not see why any of this would not be public, but that's just me. The point is not to keep the decisions secret or out of the public, but instead to keep up progress. If we have to have a day/week/month long discussion of every step along the way, nothing will ever happen. That's fine, it ...
