1. I love this post.

2. I am doing my part. I've increased my posting by more than 10%. Though, what is 10% of almost nothing?

3. The shiny...it's beautiful.

I am just now listening to Noodle's interview. I believe that the pencil picking up starting in the Diamond thread. Re: Obligatory Introductory Post

Hello there and welcome! I'm so glad you decided to pick up Speaker for the Dead. I would very highly recommend that you finish out the original Ender quartet. The third book is Xenocide, and the fourth is Children of the Mind. These finish up the the Lusitania story started in SFTD. Personally, the...

Re: Proprioception

Well, I don't really agree that sleep paralysis is at all related to proprioception. Sleep paralysis is just literal muscle paralysis - a complete loss of body muscle tone that always happens during normal REM sleep (except for eye muscles, of course). So when you get woken up during REM, occasional...

Re: Proprioception

Proprioception is something different. It's kind of hard to explain, but it is the sense of knowing where your body parts are relative to each other and relative to space. Like, you are able to touch your finger to your nose even with your eyes closed, for example. Not at all related to sleep paraly...

I think I joined in March 2001. I'm fairly sure that Alea found the actual date at some point. I don't think I'll ever make 1000+ posts on this forum, but I'm sure I had more than that on Pweb 2.0. I have a bad memory for that sort of thing though.

I just ruined the symmetry, however I believe now it may be more anatomically correct.

Oh, and regarding bananas - I buy three at a time and usually end up eating all three in 24 hours when they are at the perfectly light speckled phase.

Two things I have become obsessed with:

1. Smoothies - frozen and/or fresh fruit, milk, flax seed, protein powder, and a little bit of yogurt. I usually have one for at least one meal a day. Sometimes I add some spinach as well.

2. The cybex arc trainer at my gym. I've never sweated so much.

When it comes to bad-tasting water, cold tastes better.
Agreed! Somehow the coldness helps mask the badness.

In general I prefer cold over RT, but I will drink RT if it's good water that has just been sitting out too long. I didn't realize that some people actually prefer room temperature!
