The first few milliseconds after the big bang, as I understand it, featured a universe with only energy, before it collapsed into matter. Visible light is only a small portion of the energy spectrum, but it's there. Light before matter. Are you saying that (for you) the “first day” in Genesis i...

How about we throw out the Bible and consider the question he asked, "How do you create light before creating stars?" The answer: glowing matter that is not in stars. Well, if we follow your gallant advice and go on with the throwing out, then what kind of ground there is for the question...

About Genesis, how would anyone even know what happened, if no one was alive? What do you mean? God was there*. (He was the one doing the creation stuff.) The same God that inspired the authors (writers) of the texts in Genesis. Don't you trust God? Oh, wait ... * don't take my word for it. It's wh...

One more question for those that support the “God created Man” side of this poll: How many people did God create directly (by hand), as opposed to “by usual birth process”? I’ve heard somewhere that Adam didn’t have a belly button. Is that true?

A religious construct that places little to no value on life, and emphasises exclusively the value of life after death has no standing to say that we, upon advocating people's deaths so that they may have eternal and happy life-after-death, are immoral.
