Re: Star Wars

She LOVES R2D2. There's something about that droid that really appeals to kids. She's been talking about him all week. I always loved R2D2 and Chewbacca when I was younger for a couple of reasons. First, they are a robot and essentially big foot. How awesome is that? But more importantly, since the...

Okay. Glad it's nothing major. But do us a favor and post a picture of your face every day; if something seems off, we'll take turns asking what's up.

Re: How about that weather, then, eh?

The past two years we have had record setting winters around here. A wonderful benefit of my job is that I have the opportunity to work from home sometimes. However, it has made me hate snow. All the hassle of dealing with it, without the benefit of being off from work. :grumble:

Re: Things that I love

I love watching my cats take serious baths. The kinds they do where they are trying to get every single piece of fur perfectly clean. They look so reverent and deeply satisfied with what they're doing. If I put my hand next to them while they are bathing like this, they will usually very kindly tak...

Rebel against the idea that feminine=bad. It's what's one of the many things wrong with the world. Fixed for truth. I can't speak for Zumba because I've never done it and don't really know much about it. But I think "feminine" exercise/sport activities are much more demanding then most &q...

Re: Things You Want To Tell Your Body

I, somehow, learned to sleep through it. I don't know how, but my right leg shakes constantly when I sleep. People are amazed by it for some reason and infuriated by it with good reason when they have to share a bed with me. I have found coping devices when it acts up when I'm awake, but tough to do...

I love the idea of kissing in the snow; I am excited to try this. Highly recommended. Seconded. I wish my experience happened with someone I have an ounce of respect for, but it was fun none the less. A friend who got married the next June had snow on her wedding day. Sometimes the snow comes down ...

I really hate friends bailing, mostly because my friends bail for the stupidest reasons. And they are usually the ones that set the plans up in the first place. I also hate when friends bail for very valid reasons and then feel bad about it. You can't help that some crazy circumstance has come up an...

SoCal vs Nor Cal drivers are completely different NorCal drivers I like. SoCal drivers are crazy. NY drivers are bad. Re: The Obligatory Buffy thread

So the entire point of the episode (A season premiere episode no less) was to show how cheesy the vampire genre can be, even though this series is trying to not be cheesy? The only thing that could have made this episode worse, was if I was eagerly awaiting the new season and this what I waited for.

It just all seemed so forced. It was like they took the worst characterture of Dracula and forced him into an episode for no real reason. All of the dialogue about him or with him seemed silly and out of character. So he has mind control powers, can turn into mist, can turn into a bat and can get st...

Wow season two. This has to be the best season, right? It can't possibly be better than that. I mean any scene with the Angel/Spike/Drusilla(?) combo was just perfect. And it was so much darker than the first season. So many gut wrenching/heartbreaking moments. More Cordelia and adding Oz to the mix...
