For a free internet game, Echo Bazaar! is surprisingly awesome. Downside is that you can only log in using a Twitter or Facebook account, but the upside of that is that you can invite people that you know from these places to join you in the game for stuff. Amusing, weird and strangely compelling.

Best and cheapest way to remove marks from screen:

1. Lick finger
2. Apply saliva to mark
3. Wipe VERY softly with tissue
4. Tada!

Has anyone tried the games you can download for the BBC website? I'm sure they're quite childish, but are they worth playing from a narrative point of view?

The thing is, many other Mayan calendars carry on after the date. It just so happened that this particular one stops on this date. Maybe they thought they could have managed to make a new list of dates by now?

The very next summer
There grew up a tree
And on it were meatballs
To have for my tea

Boxing day arose when maids at upper-class houses got to go home to their families after Christmas. They would take boxes of presents and food home, hence Boxing Day.

Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone, from snowy Britain.

And remember: it's the one day of the year that it's considered socially unacceptable NOT to eat too much. Make the most of it.

- Requires 3 As, with two of them being maths and further maths
- Got some hard decisions to make

Overall, however, I think it's a definite plus.

To be fair, the Germans had their fair share of trouble with snow. Their Russian assault was not exactly successful. And I'm sure there's no difference between the Siberian winters and the light dusting of snow that's around here now.

Britain's in the grip of the coldest December since a long time ago, looks like we'll have the first white Christmas in years, and all people do is complain about it. Lighten up! Schools are closed anyway for the holidays, and a bit of cold weather never hurt anyone. I can just imagine people in (fo...

I think that covers all the bases...

To go off track slightly, I can't help but see a trend here. In Britain at least, the government has been seen since about 1995 to be mostly benevolent, and it was not the done thing to be obviously against it too much. Now however, this seems to be changing. WikiLeaks seems to have started it, with...
