Bow down before me everyone, for I am you King! About the prizes, I'll take the second one. And there is certainly no rush to get it to me, so please take all the time that you need. And thank you Alea, for all the time and effort you put in to this. It was awesome idea and a fitting tribute to the ...

Could it just be the universities that you attended/know? My university is very pro gay rights, so even in the undergraduate population, there was a sizable minority(maybe majority?) that were GLBT. So I imagine the grad school would have a similar breakdown, but I'm not sure if that is true of grad...

What do they have to lose? Well, same thing that chess players that resign. Time. That's not necessarily true. The game lasts at least 90 minutes whether you give up or not. And you might be right about Argentina relaxing, but if there is a weak point on their team, its their defense. I understand ...

Question 7: Orange. Bonus: This feels like a speech to and I learned; keep it short and sweet and from the heart. So here it goes. I love Pweb, so there is so many places that I can go with this. I love all of the connections that I made. I love at the comfort level that I have here. I love that I g...

With deepest respect to moms and grandmothers everywhere, I cannot abide cottage cheese in my lasagne. Ricotta or death. ETA: I actually enjoy cottage cheese quite a bit on its own. But it has no place in lasagne. None, I say. Quoted for the most truth. Cottage cheese, stay the eff out of my lasagna.

What i mean is that Mexico's strategy seemed to be defending and waiting for fast counters. It's a good strategy when the rival is technically superior. After getting behind in the score, that strategy won't work any longer, and Mexico doesn't have quality players enough to play openly against Arge...

I'm not saying the goal didn't change the game, but you can fight back at that point or you can lay down. Mexico routinely lies down and that is the knock on them. This is why they don't beat the US anymore outside of Estadio Azteca, because the US certainly isn't more talented. They have a good you...

Sweet! It sounded like a really good time. I'm pretty excited. Sucks that you're not in the area anymore. It would have been my first Pweb meet-up. I eat almost anything, but there are two very picky eaters in our group. So I doubt we will be able to go out of their comfort zone. But any advice is m...

While Maradona certainly is an idiot and they did struggle during qualification, I don't really agree with your assessment of the game. The game was fairly even to start, Mexico had the best early chance. Hitting the crossbar early on. The call on the first goal was absolutely terrible, but you can ...

The quote is from Reality Bites.

"This is all we need...a couple of smokes, a cup of coffee and a little bit of conversation. You and me and five bucks."
The Pweb fairy paid me a visit last night after I posted that and let me know what the quote was. An awesome quote though!

In September, I will be going to Toronto for the first time for the Toronto film festival. Has anyone ever been to this festival? No one in my group of friends that are going, has been to a film festival of any kind, so we are a little out of our depth.

A simple bump because I will be bored in work tomorrow. But this sentence made me laugh and is definitely bump worthy as well.

I can't believe this one didn't take off. This new group that is essential taking over, expects us to do all the leg work, even though they are supposed to be doing it. They just dump it on us. I can't find myself rooting for the Spanish side, though I really don't want to root for a team with Ronaldo on it either. So I guess am rooting for never ending PKs. Pretty much agree with your sentiments. Angels and Demons was what it was. I was entertained, but nothing spectacular. It was what I expected. I really liked Empire of the Sun, but it was a bit long.
