Re: Books, eBooks, Kindles, Audiobooks, and that kinda stuff

On a slightly related note, getting used to being in a city containing ONE HUNDRED AND THREE libraries is a tad difficult. As is living in the same building as a library. Technically they're all sub-libraries of the Bodleian, but it's still somewhat overwhelming.

Just watched the first few episodes of Chuck that a friend, erm, acquired for me. (To be fair, they don't show or sell it in this country)

Love it, but I'm having a hard time adjusting to a show that has both Jayne Cobb and Miranda Lawson in it. That much awesome in one place is dangerous.

And this is why you have individual rooms. Hidden at the back end of the college. In a labyrinth. At a dead end. Surrounded by second years who haven't moved in yet.

I'm so alone...

Surely the trick for professional post-whoring is to craft a perfect, generic post that you copy and paste into any thread whilst still making it seem relevant. Admittedly, this is trickier on PWeb than other forums that are more focused on a particular topic and less on grammar and coherence. Altho...

Meh, the 1.8 update wasn't as exciting as hoped. Maybe the NPCs in 1.9 will do it for me.

Though this may have more to do with the fact I spent about 2 days solid working on a scale model of Serenity for a competition, and haven't played much since.

Oh man, now, backtracking is fine (one of the staples of metroidvanias), but Prime... I don't understand how they added things whose sole purpose seems to make exploring and backtracking more annoying. Like, those enemies that spawn and then just... sit there, and explode when you hit them, and are...

The controls are different, the most obvious being that there's no way to switch between beams - new beams are upgrades rather than options. Though the new controls fix the problem you were having with the bosses - because you have to aim manually, there is more skill involved than just 'lock on and...

I don't know if you've played it, but the reflection element is used for even greater impact in Prime 3. Though it has the same problem when it comes to boss battles, and pulls the same stunt at the end.
