I think it'd make a wicked MMORPG, battle-school style, with expansion packs for Command, Pre-command, and Tactical schools. Everyone starts as a launchy and levels, kind of like Guild Wars or World Of Warcraft (you guys knew THAT was coming up again). The mods would be people like Dap and Dimak, la...

I found out that it's not a tax break they're starting this year that allows you to write off education expenses... I've just never completed a semester with a high enough GPA to qualify before. I'm off academic probation, woo hoo!

Plus if it's as bad as the parts I read and everyone here says, it's like an expansion pack for an awesome game, but the expansion pack was made in Taiwan by carnival geeks in dimly lit rooms.

Are we surprised that Anberlin ripped someone off? I just got The Subtle Knife, actually, after watching The Golden Compass on DVD the other day. Pissed me off to find out they hadn't, and may not be, made the sequels yet. From what I hear they changed a LOT from the book anyway, so I might need to ...

Or, if you're looking to do a little foley work or some voice-over acting, lemme know. Duck just got a video camera recently, so I'm working on a script with him right now. It involves pirates. And lots of play-doh. But more importantly, LOTS of foley work.

I'm with you guys, I think that encouraging posting for the sake of posting could lead to a whole lot of backup of stupid. As it is, if we all just keep up with threads we've posted in already, that would help. I know this is one of the first forums I've actually followed up on a lot of my comments....

I'll hop on that sentence when it comes back around. Has anyone thought of trying to make any Ender amv? Of course not with the unreleased movie yet, durh, but cutting together other movies and such (gattaca, bits of minority report, alien, etc) to make some?

A Heartbreaking Work Of Staggering Genius by David Eggers is great. It's all about the irony, but while trying to specifically avoid actually BEING what is says it is, it does break your heart, and at times does reach the point of staggering genius. It's subtle, it's disarming, it's funny, it's ten...

I think that a cure will be found, either by someone strangely "zipped" over from the Ender saga, or by Bean or one of his kids, OR by someone on Earth loooong down the related line of characters. Like Petra and Peter's great great grandneice's adopted daughter or something. But then Bean'...

There's also a huge pond near town that my friends and I used to swim in... it's surrounded by sand pit dunes, so it's kind of in a big bowl, surrounded by woods. Places that look like EG locales

My psych classroom is a distance learning lab. It's got flat screen monitors on the walls, cameras mounted with remote controls all over the front, and a window to a control room. It's also acoustically padded and has microphones all over the tables and stuff. It makes me think of the battle school....

True. Speaking of minor fandoms, anyone up for a keeper thread before I start one? Or do people do those anymore? I remember a mailing list I used to be on for Star Wars had a keepers list. There'd have to be a concrete list, approved by a mod. People would apply to be, say for example, "Keeper...

So, any of you guys have any original AMVs? I know, some people consider that Anime Music Video, but I've always heard it as Amature Music Video.
