Oh god, that's soooo horrible you got spoiled. :( I was watching an OotP video on youtube and I saw a reply to a reviewer -- the video was safe -- that said 'thanks for spoiling the book for everyone!' (but probably with a lot more typos and netspeak), and I scrolled up without looking until I could...

I'm actually pretty concerned that someone in the airport or on my plane is going to spoil it for me. I have about 24 hours of travel starting Friday at 1:30. I'm concerned someone will either (a)have read spoilers online and talk about it at the Joberg airport or on the plane or (b) have read the ...

i wonder that everyone is upset about the lack of closure concerning Sirius' death... Harry never gets any closure for Sirius death in the books, either. no funeral. no body. no time to adjust or say a proper goodbye. Harry doesn't even get to grieve properly in the books. Dumbledore's death is a s...

Sorry, your friend is right. Voldemort's nose is CGI -- they sort of drew pencil lines around his nose where they'd change it. I think it's discussed in the extras in the GoF DVD, or if not, then some interview about it. I remember Dan talking about having to imagine it while they were filming. Okay...

SPOILERS AHEAD.... just in case you weren't expecting them or something :P Just as a warning, most of my comments are going to be complaints, but I really did like the movie... I'm just a nitpicky book freak who wishes the movies were exactly the same as the books. Still, he wasn't depressed enough ...

Dear U.S. law, I really hate you right now. All I want is to bring home my wine that I purchased legally and cheaply in Spain, with no intent of doing anything stupid or dangerous. However, since I will only be 20 years, 10 months and 24 days old on the day I fly home, I must send it home in a packa...

I never saw any other Fantastic Four movie... so I can't judge based on that criteria I guess. The acting was bad, the writing was pretty bad (the only thing that wasn't too bad was the premise of the villain), and there was SO much cheese. I know superhero movies need a little cheese, but this was ...

Most efficient way so far I've found to annoy (or piss off) a linguist: claim that a minority language is a dialect of the majority language when it's not, and when corrected, ask who gives a s***. Oooh, I'm still twitching after that one. wizzard's last two are up there on my list too. Along with b...

So guys... I went to the OotP premiere in London today. I got there around 2:30 and was around the 5th row in the part in front of the cinema, but my friend got there around 10 and got in front. She got to talk to Jo: she thanked her for the books and coming over to sign autographs, got her autograp...

Hehe... my friend's mom is reserving copies for us at Borders. I shall be there in my homemade Ravenclaw costume. I went to 'Hogwarts' (Alnwick Castle) this weekend and bought a wand which I'll be bringing as well. I did think of something, but I haven't figured out if it's important or if it's just...

I was very close to my maternal grandmother; she died when I was 17. I'll always miss her. My maternal grandfather died when I was 4, so I don't really remember him, just what people have told me. My grandmother remarried when I was 9, and he became 'grandpa', and I'm still close to him. My paternal...

It doesn't matter how much money I make, how great of a family I never have, or whatever comes; I'll be living on this f****** insulin. f*** that. I know how you feel about that -- it sucks. I went out with my friends last night and got kinda drunk. For your average 20-year-old college student, this is normal, but for me, it is not. I feel very weird about it, and kind of freaked out. Especially because I didn't bring a map or bus map with me, so we pretty much got home by luck. The onl...

I like this. :) I carry around everything I've ever read, heard, seen or experienced. Perhaps this is an exaggeration, but I've come to admit that I do have an incredible memory. I carry my past in a concealed compartment where you wouldn't ever notice it -- the good, the bad, and the neutral, all t...

Disputes about who's the biggest Beatles fan aside ( ), cool! I went Beatle-touring around London today and saw Brian Epstein's flat, where the release party was held 40 years ago today -- erm, yesterday? lol. Quite odd, since somebody else lives there now; feels sort of forgotten, and you wo...

I said scientific, because that's basically how I understand the world, through observing and making conclusions. As far as what I believe motivates things in general, I suppose scientific still works, because I'm a skeptic -- I can't get enough evidence of anything to make any conclusions, so... I'...
