Bob, I have a problem. Yeah, big surprise, I know. Show up again only to complain. I just needed to write 'to' someone, or something. I feel like my life has been in constant decline ever since I left Ohio. Had a great girl with no good reason to leave her. Had a job that at least made me feel impor...

Hey Bob, I'm back again, for pretty much the only reason I do come post here anymore. Truthfully, the same reason I ended up here in the first place. Last year at this time I wanted to be rebellious. Didn't really work out too poorly, though it was hardly a resounding success either. I'm the only pe...

The US liked having Mubarak and Ghaddafi in power. That whole region has been living under the thumb of some very powerful, American supported, leaders for half a century now. Libya, Egypt, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, all are strategically powerful locations in which the US desires political sway. O...

Facing a projected budget shortfall (somewhere in the range of a few billion dollars) and to avoid layoffs, Republicans proposed a bill that would (1) require state employees to contribute a higher portion of their salaries to cover their pension costs and health insurance premiums and (2) weaken t...

Dear Bob, I'm lonely. I just thought I'd tell you that 'cause, well, I don't really have anyone else to tell. Self-fulfilling my ass. The social highlight of my month was a coworker taking me for a drink a couple weeks ago. That's a less positive item than it sounds, as said coworker is a general th...

By any chance. Anyone play Call Of Duty :Black ops. (I have a feeling someone will tell me why its not a good game)
I do. It's not my favorite game, not in the CoD series and not in the FPS genre; but it is still quite fun.

Mass Effect is definitely a more refined KOTOR, at least the first one. It's BioWare, all grown up! I've yet to play KOTOR 2. ME2 drifts farther away from the KOTOR style, closer to the FPS aspects; but both games are excellent.

What do you Americans think about your government's reaction to these events? So far, the diplomats have been extremely careful to not support the protests or even outwardly condemn the actions the Egyptian government has undertaken. Yes, he urged them to reconnect the country after they forced cell...

Viva la revolution!!

I'm surprised nobody's brought this up. Is it that people aren't informed about what's going on in the middle east/northern Africa lately, or just don't care? Either's....well, not as surprising as I might like. To summarize, for those who don't know; - Tunisia recently had a revolution to oust thei...

Then again, we also both know your response to what you did received wouldn't have been laden with amusing graphics either. I'm glad it turned out the way it did.

I think I have been slightly misunderstood, though that's not unusual for me. I do not believe full disclosure is an appropriate way to run a government. Government secrets are important in dealing in the global arena. There's no question of that in my mind. The question becomes, then, what needs to be classified? How? For how long? The whole point of this cable release is not to undermine secrecy but rather to illustrate that the question of what ne...
