And what about The Hive Queen? We know she is connected to Ender and that this connection somehow created Jane, but we don't know how. What did the Hive Queen tell Ender about the Formics? We know he knows them, feels horrible for destroying them, and wants to bring them back, but why? What did she...

Sometimes the ends justify the means.

Morally, it was wrong, but this was a case where her actions lead to more and more suffering. The the lower the fall, the higher the rise after hitting normality, and had it not been so, Ender might not have gotten so ingrained in all of their lives.

Welcome to PhiloticWeb ;) I think it can lead to a metaphor for what happens between people quite a lot. I find friend after friend saying "Oh, it's just a game we play, whoever comes up with the bigger insult wins!" But it ends up being one sided. To the other person it wasn't a game, and...

Now, tell me if im wrong here, but I remember someone telling Ender that the ships from both the IF and Formics has shields around each of them. Making them look like spheres instead of ships. Also, these shields are created to protect against missles (hence why war on earth was so hard) so my thin...

Well, in Children of the Mind, it calls the M.D.D. a rocket..

In Ender of Exile, it explains how their ships worked as well.

I favor Speaker for the Dead over all the others. As it is, this series is the first to ever bring me to an emotional normality. Tears actually came to my eyes the first time I read Children of the Mind, and on my second read through, starting with Speaker for the Dead as I didn't really feel like r...

Agnostics: the theological fence-sitters. Not technically. Agnostics look for the truth. Though we... er.... I* believe that the existence of deity or metaphysical being is as yet unknowable. Theological simply means religious. Not all religion is based off of deities and metaphysical beings that a...

Now, I notice many a person believes in Creationism and Evolutionism. Let me show you examples that are comparative to such an idea. Not only does gravity hold us down, but so do goblins, with giant strings! Not only does every action create an equal and opposite reaction, but there's a unicorn that...

I understand most of you who are for the right bear arms are using the argument that most crimes are committed by illegally obtained guns. Yes, they were illegally obtained, but by lying and faking records, and buying them from places where any law-abiding citizen could also get them. If guns were b...

How did I get into Ender's Game? Well, I got this sudden burst of interest in Psychology, and I asked my friend of any books he knew of that were Psychological. He mentioned Ender's Game. Another kid didn't think it was anything more then a Sci-Fi, and I questioned it, so I decided I would get it, a...

im sure if teh ystarted now, a fantasy game wouldnt take that long to make. maybe two years, at the most. you overestimate the level of complexity its posible to program. what wed be looking at is basically a sandbox style game. No duhr. When I first read Ender, I was in 6th Grade. I was always the smartest kid in the class, and *couch* don't mean anything, but I was pretty popular and nice. The people respected my views, I guess. However, even when I tried showing Ender's Game to some friends, they took one look at the co...

Peace is not something that all humans can understand, but it's not because we are stupid. It's because war is brought about by strong emotions that are shared by a large group, or enforced by a government too large to say no to. But I don't believe peace would be the greatest course of action. Peac...

The reason for inconsistencies is simply this- Orson Scott Card doesn't have a memory of such amazing proportions to know every little thing he wrote that people said. If you read through everything, you'll notice there are several contradictions. You'll also note, that in the back of Ender in Exile...
