Same username... as you can see I 'joined' this current board a few hours before you did when the old one crashed...

Only had a few hundred posts though, not a few thousand!

Re: "I HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE AND I MUST TALK ABOUT IT" Thread

Well it's been years and years since I've posted on this forum. Found this place originally back in 2001 (?) and glad to see that there are still some familiar names on this forum (and on this thread!). Looks like you guys have kept at it all these years =) I've been eagerly awaiting the release of ...

I just finished the book today. Purposefully read it slowly so that I could let it sink in. It was hard to basically not use any non-corporate internet sites for the last few days, but I managed to be blog and forum free for a while! Either way, I thought the book was a fitting end to the series. Le...

i wonder that everyone is upset about the lack of closure concerning Sirius' death... Harry never gets any closure for Sirius death in the books, either. no funeral. no body. no time to adjust or say a proper goodbye. Harry doesn't even get to grieve properly in the books. Dumbledore's death is a s...

SPOILERS AHEAD I saw this movie last night, and I can say that it was absolutely fantastic. The Order of the Phoenix was by far my favorite of the 6 books so far, and ever since I had read the entire ending with the battle, I had wanted to see it in a movie, and I can say that they did the whole thi...

Now here is another question to consider: should tax dollars be distributed by who pays them? For every dollar we pay in california, we get about 80 cents back from the federal government. If we were to fix this, California could totally eliminate our budget problems. What do you think? It's intere...

I wonder if this is more referring to people who sell online stuff for real money. i.e. if you trade in your WoW gold pieces or items for real cash. No idea who Jubilee is. But if I could control light, I could do a hell of a lot more than keep people in the dark. I could bend it around me, effectively making me invisible. With enough practice, I could make people see whatever I wanted them to. You'd never know what was reality and what was ill...

I bet Quebec is probably the only jurisdiction in the world that could possibly muster a 'legal seperation' from a country. But only if they are clear about it :) Of course this hasn't been tested, but obviously people believe this to be true. The south probably didn't have an overriding 'legal righ...

If you have clinical correlation, even with a negative strep test, you err on the side of caution and you treat. You can send for a swab if you want. That's the proper way of doing it. The rapid strep test isn't really all that useful. http://www.emedicine.com/EMERG/topic395.htm if you want to read ...

Too bad it's just a RTS... meaning the real game will look nothing like this.

If this were Halo 3, that would be awesome... but it seems like Halo 3 is going to look more or less exactly like Halo (and Halo 2) from the screenshots released so far which is a huge disappointment.

That's a great law. Smoking is horrible for everyone. I'm glad that Ontario was the first jurisdiction in North America to ban smoking in all public places (unless it's Sean Penn doing it). I think it's odd that pornography is legal but prostitution isn't. If you have a recording studio behind you and both of the people (or however many are in this movie) are getting paid, then it's legal. If prostitutes want to make their profession legal then all they have to do is buy a video camer...

Safe work enviroment? You legalize only in-house prostitution (like brothels) and outlaw street prostitution. You then inspect the places regularly. So you can't be a self-employed prostitute? No more so than you can be a self-employed surgeon working out of your basement. EDIT: In case someone her...
