Scolding carries no weight if the threat of a spanking isn't there. My dad used a belt on one of my siblings once and he never used it again. But now we knew that it was possibility, so anytime my siblings or I got yelled at, we knew that it could come out. As we got older, we started to realize tha...

Good question... I'm thinking that for relatively basic thoughts, you can just show them through facial expressions, actions, etc. But when a character starts thinking about more complex or abstract things... Well, I don't know!

I didn't say it was easy! I always feel like I made a total idiot of myself after I'm done with an interview, but apparently I didn't. And medical insurance is definitely a good perk. I had a job where I had to pay for it totally out of pocket, and it was ridiculous! I ended up quitting and taking a...

21?! You're just a baby! ;)

Actually, that's one of my pet peeves... People who treat you like a little kid just because you're younger than they are (no matter how much younger you are).

And you know... I think I've been hired for every job I've ever had an interview for! Of course, that's only three in my whole life, but... I think the secret (besides actually being qualified for the job!) is just being relaxed.

My high school chemistry teacher taught our class how to make 200 proof drinks. I don't doubt that your prof taught your class how to do this (hey, you gotta keep kids interested), but I'm wondering if you can classify that as a "drink!" I mean, 200 proof means 100% alcohol, which means t...

From who's point of view are we talking about here? My really cynical view is that religion is a tool for anyone who can wield it. So the heads use it for power of some kind, zealots use it as justification of any cause they might think of, etc. I mean, did the pharaohs really think they were god an...

Seems to me that all religions had to at least start as cults... So maybe the main difference is public acceptance?? Of course, that's highly subjective, so it may not be too useful.
