I've never seen Avatar. ...but I think that's because it came out when I had a newborn. and...that's it. I like knowing everything. I think this post should go in the triumphs thread for not falling for the over-hyped steaming pile of BS. I know I'd be proud of myself were it true, unfortunately, t...

Well, if the purpose of terrorism is to instill fear, insecurity, and dread in the minds of your targets then I'd say they were hugely successful. But I'm not quite sure if that equates to winning. I don't really see how either side wins here. This. Yup. Also, on a somewhat more flippant note, I ha...

You managed to snag one for $99 or whatever they're going for now?
Yeah. I got the last 16gig Walmart had. I grabbed a touchstone stand/charger for it today too.

I read it as we'd get shell access which would mean we'd get full run of the place, it would just mean she'd have the domain and it'd be on her server.

I'm sure online somewhere. I haven't researched it in depth, yet, just browsed enough to know I couldn't afford to do it yet!
Yeah, I haven't either. I just know that some still use it raw, which I wouldn't do.

Re: Most Useres Online

Coupled with the fact last time I looked most of those 1000 have zero posts.
I know someone else was against this but I really think those should be cleared after a year, two tops. If they later discover they want to post, they can re-register.
I'm of the same opinion.

Re: Most Useres Online

I read at the bottom of the index screen that the most users ever online at once was a hundred and somthing in 2007. I also read that there are 1000 registered users. I think we should try to get everyone we can online at once to try to beat that. Anyone interested? Anyone want to help establish a ...

I've got a question for you. Do you roll your own film and is that a cost effective way to go? Otherwise, what is a cheap source of black and white film? I never have. I haven't used 35mm much since 3 or 4 years ago, and if I do it's slide. I think you can get 18 36exp rolls out of a 100ft roll. A ...

I'd like to get into doing my own B&W processing, but I don't have space to store the stuff or money to get started in it. I mostly enjoy shooting B&W. You only really need a few sq. feet of storage. With Rodinal as your developer you could get up to 200 rolls processed for $15 or so a bott...

I read this on a camera forum I'm on:
The other day with a 8x10" Gandolfi: A young man comes up to me and asks (in awe) how old this camera is. I tell him "12 years". Then he asks me how many megapixels it has. The camera is made of WOOD, for crying out loud!

Close the 10,000 maybe, and that if you get the lens new and what camera body. It was shot with a 300/2.8 which goes for around 3k new. Tripod should probably be used, since long fast lenses aren't to light, but that wouldn't add too much to the overall cost. That being said the same person who took...
