I need new music so badly, but I'm very picky. And I'm not even picky in a specific way--there are just some bands that I like, and some that I don't. I haven't figured out what seperates the two. Hmm. I guess I'd like to get more Math the Band. Uh...Counting Crows are supposed to have a new album o...

Oh, there's one Bean quote I just love, but I cannot remember which book it comes from. I know it's one of the Shadow books, but that's it.

"You don't have to eat the entire turd to know it's not a crabcake." - Bean.

(I'm thinking Ender's Shadow...)

The American hero is just anyone who knows what is right without necessarily being extremely intelligent. It's this idea that Ameicans are morally correct without being the smartest. This kind of started with Huck Finn and stuff like that. It applies to cowboys, mentioned earlier--no schooling, but ...

How about this: During Spanish class, a friend pulls his leg up and rests it on the top of the desk, acting all cool for being flexible. Being relatively flexible (for a guy) myself, I do the same, but pull my leg across my body, just to show I can... I then turn around realize just about the entire...

12. I'm tied for biggest shoe size in my Algebra II class. There's a good reason why I know that, but I don't remember what it is at this point.

Geez. I enjoy a good read, and Card is a great author, but I have better things to do with $35, and I certainly have better things to do with $150. I hate it when authors do stuff like this. :(

I got the book for Christmas and read through right after finishing the Discworld novel I was also given. It's a good book. Like mentioned, it's not Card's best, but it's worth reading. I recommend it.

I'm, like, a week and two days from 17. For those who find math a challenge, that makes me 16.

I've read the book, but don't remember it particarly well either, as I only read it once and it's probably been 5 years. I don't think it was bad , per se, but I remember having more trouble getting through it. But I remember being depressed that the story of the characters that I loved wasn't goin...

Yeah, the other books had it, too, but it wasn't quite as strong. I guess this really isn't the most popular series Card has written.

I don't know if I'd call it that. It's not that the book was written poorly, or anything. It's just the ideas he was trying to, well, preach about. Has anyone read this book? I've only spoken to a couple about it, but I haven't had any opinions from people who have actually read through the whole th...

That's a toss up between Shadow of the Hegemon and Shadow Puppets. I didn't really care for either.

I've read all the Ender's Game novels, all the Alvin Maker novels, and all the Homecoming novels. Other than that, nothing, although I hope to read Empire pretty soon.

Determined to complain (about Earthborn).

Okay, earlier today I finally finished up the Homecoming series. I loved the first four books. Great, great novels--just as good as anything else Card writes. But this last book... Maybe it was the way I read it. This book obviously has heavy religious tones. Fine. The whole series was like this, in...
