I kind of disagree. The way I look at it Ender's enemy was not just Stilson, but the whole gang of children, I don't think his overboard aggression and infliction of harm on Stilson was just for Stilson, but to make anyone in Stilson's group fear what Ender could do. If Ender had only slightly injur...

Also, remember these are not your normal everyday children - these children (most of them) possessed the intellect to rival most professors on earth. Their subject just happens to be war.

I randomly picked up this book out of the Science fiction section at my high-school library many many years ago. I started reading in one class and couldn't stop. My statistics teacher had to get on to me for reading in class because I just couldn't put the story down. I then started reading again w...

Here's an interesting thought... If Jane can move ships to anywhere in the universe (supposedly) without dealing with space time then technically she can send a ship to meet Bean (assuming Jane got some information somehow) and avoid the whole relativity thing (I'm assuming that Bean sets out on his...

Why not? If the human race can make religions based on six-armed women and fat men as well as aliens, then why not off stories as well? It really is not all that far of a stretch of the imagination to think that it could turn into a religion. All you need is enough charismatic and influential people...

Ah, but Left 4 Dead is so much fun.

There is no feeling quite like playing the Tank on the Rooftop Finale and sending a survivor flying off the roof with one swipe of your arm. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. :)

Maybe this is a problem with S-10's locke? I have a 2001 S-10 and my fuel gauge is busted as well. I'll fill it up and it will say full, then drop to empty randomly and then bounce back to full. Needless to say I don't ever let the needle get past a quarter of a tank before I fill up again. And you ...

Not to be argumentative, but I don't think Bean's "people skills" would ever quite match Ender's. I think Bean's commander experience is described either in SoTH or Shadow Puppets, can't remember which. But in my opinion it described Bean's soldiers as ones who wanted his respect and prais...

I think you are missing the point. Bean was the better strategist because of those genetic enhancements. Ender is and will always be the better commander in my opinion becuase you don't command well without leading well. It doesn't matter how great your strategies are if you can't get your soldiers ...

Now that I think about it more in depth, I believe you are correct. But even so, couldn't you still consider Bean's task force to be a special 6th toon? In effect still making him a toon leader as he was responsible for training those in his force (even if Ender was to be informed of what they were ...

Unless you count his "special task force" as a toon.

Which should be the case since Ender states that the other commanders had not caught onto the fact the he used 5 toons instead of 4.
